Jocelyn Thoemke, LMFT, ATR
The almost 20 years I have spent working with children up through elders in a variety of settings using art, has blessed me with opportunities to develop techniques and strategies to help individuals harness the power of their natural creativity to grow in a variety of ways.
I have witnessed tremendous healing in my clients who struggle with the symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, social relationship challenges, and low self-esteem through the use of creative expression paired with concepts drawn from a variety of theories, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
My training in both art and talk-based therapy, my professional experience in education and mental health, as well as my experience as the mother of a beautiful child with ASD and ADHD have shaped my special interest in helping individuals with ASD and ADHD and their families.
